Diane Chamberlain is the New York Times, USA Today and (London) Sunday Times best-selling author of 28 novels. The daughter of a school principal who supplied her with a new book almost daily, Diane quickly learned the emotional power of story. Although she wrote many small “books” as a child, she didn’t seriously turn to writing fiction until her early thirties when she was waiting for a delayed doctor’s appointment with nothing more than a pad, a pen, and an idea. She was instantly hooked.

Diane was born and raised in Plainfield, New Jersey and lived for many years in both San Diego and northern Virginia. She received her master’s degree in clinical social work from San Diego State University. Prior to her writing career, she was a hospit

CeeCee's story was inspired by the case of a female criminal (Sara Jane Olson) who was tracked down after living underground for more than twenty years. In both cases, as always, the little seed of inspiration grows into something much bigger as I play with the story. (less)

In retrospect, they were the best parents anyone could hope for, but we’d butted heads often during

Ed Rambeau Thanks for accepting my friend request, Diane. You seem like an interesting person, as well as quite the prolific author, so feel free to tell me more about yourself. I, myself, am a singer/songwriter/actor who has recently turned author. My 2 top ten recordings were CONCRETE & CLAY (as a singer) and NAVY BLUE (as a writer)...both in the early 1960's. My first novel is an unusual murder mystery entitled: FORBIDDEN STEPS.

Regards, and have a great day, Ed

I'm a novice writer so feel free to make any kind of suggestions, ideas or thoughts to correct it. I’m co-authoring a novel with Patty Wiseman, another friend on Goodreads. We’re both very green, but we’ve met so many people on this site willing to reach out and offer advice or a guiding hand, we feel very blessed.
Thanks,

Liz Diane,
I'm so pleased that you extended the invitation to be your friend on Goodreads. What a striking picture you have posted--must be the work of your significant other. Wow.

And what a busy lady you have been. I love the titles of your books! I've sworn off fiction (reading of) for so long because I have no willpower and let it consume my life so there's no time for my day job + writing of, but I'm starting slowly to add it back into my life. I'll keep your wonderful titles in mind.
