Dear Author Chu,For some reason I don't see the "ask" box on your profile for me to address a question to you. Mine is a simple question: You list 101 Dalmatians as an influential book in your writing. Do you refer to Author Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians & The Starlight Barking or the later Disney-influenced edits of it? Picture books and pared-down reworkings are fine but I'm a big fan of the original version.
The original novel saved my sanity as a younger person so my interest in the subject is keen.
