Givenchy Spring 2025 Pre-Collection

GIVENCHY PRESENTS ITS SPRING 2025 WOMEN’S AND MEN’S READY-TO-WEAR PRE-COLLECTION

For its Spring 2025 pre-collection, Givenchy blends aristocratic elegance with audacity, provocation and a hint of punk. Picking up on signatures such as the newly relaunched Monogram 72, archival animal prints, pom-poms, bows and argyle motifs, clothes for women and men explore modern dressing through a "relaxed-formal" lens. Soft structuring and delicacy juxtapose with edgier subtexts, a nod to Hubert de Givenchy's taste for injecting striking silhouettes with covert undertones.

Innately chic and slightly audacious, the Givenchy woman projects effortless nonchalance in looks such as a wool evening stole paired with a flared pant in pale pink cotton, or tuxedo suiting with a graceful, draped wrap effect that can also be detached. Volumes, textures, and colors pay homage to the founding couturier's work from the late Sixties and early Seventies: cheetah print appears on a wrap statement coat in shearling or as accents on a safari ensemble; a funnel-neck coat with architectural sleeves transposes a couture shape into glossy black leather. An evening gown with a cutaway back and jet beading revisits a signature Givenchy silhouette in technical duchesse satin and white feather pompoms give an Archive-inspired evening dress a tactile allure. Hammered gold-finish buttons, bows, embroidery and shearling trim give statement pieces with soft shoulders and relaxed constructions a couture attitude.

For men's wear, Hubert de Givenchy's aristocratic public image intertwines with the more flamboyant, expressive side his close friends knew well. Formal clothing, notably tuxedo jackets and cummerbunds, take on punk-inflected flashes of rust or purple. Military influences nod to music and art with universal appeal and sly humor. First shown on the runway in January 2024, a Seventies-era cat print returns as camouflage flecked with surrealist emerald-tone eyes on a jacket, or blue bow embellishment on a sweater. Likewise, a "hair" print with braids, which debuted as a scarf on the runway, appears on a shirt or sweatshirt. A classic duffel coat shape is cut from teddy fabric; cardigans crop up in woven cashmere, a jean jacket is worked in suede, and 3D monograms are etched into shearling. Suiting, such as an elevated tracksuit in velvet, is worn with confidence and ease, like pajamas with an attitude so luxurious, they could be worn out in the street.

A strong graphic story flows from bags to shoes, small accessories and collar details in the season’s cheetah motif, which is printed on shearling and calf hair. The Voyou family is explored this season in a variety of materials and textures, including patent, suede and plush shearlings. The new crossbody Pumpkin bag appears in casual day materials - patent, crackled leather and shearling - as well as in a mini with a chain strap, fur trim, and beading.

The Antigona Toy Lock launches this season in a rainbow of feminine textures, complimenting the family. Sleek leathers are used on the Antigona Cube Nano, which this season is jeweled with a playful 4G Liquid charm. And a new 4G Liquid oversized clutch with a chain strap provides a daring and elegant evening offer.

For men, the Voyou lineup welcomes practical statement pieces such as a roller bag in aged leather or lightweight nylon, a slim crossbody bag and a large Voyou in chocolate shearling. The complementary G-Trail cross-body messenger appears in a mix of suede and nylon twill for a sporty, minimalist aesthetic. A classic 4G travel kit in leather joins the Givenchy lineup of travel essentials.

The successful Bogs partnership continues with an elevated-outdoor low hiking boot with embossed 4G logos and contrasting laces, while the G Move sneaker gives a sporty look a fresh twist by blending an Eighties-inspired tennis shape with a leather construction. Inspired by Hubert de Givenchy's personal style, a leather and suede moccasin bring a dash of Parisian chic to any look, whether sporty or formal.

The cheetah motif also appears on women's footwear, notably on the Shark Lock knee-high stiletto boot in calf hair, the elegantly rebellious Voyou stiletto boot and the chic, comfortable 4G Liquid ballerina flats. Debuting this season are the sophisticated 4G Liquid heeled sandals in black brushed leather with a fine, jewel-like gold chain strap.

The Givenchy jewelry collection continues to expand, with statement-making 4G Liquid crystal fringe pieces in silver-tone and strass, while the House's signature pearls and crystals mix with a stylized motif on silver and gold-tone necklaces, bracelets, and hoop or swingy drop earrings. For men, new archetypes join the more classic cufflinks: for Spring, these include a tag necklace, ring and cuff; a crystal- embellished ID necklace and ring; a Monogram 72 silver necklace and embossed signet ring.

As a final touch, 4G Pearl sunglasses for women bring the House's signature jewel to eyewear, while the universal GV Day frames give everyday looks a twist with inverted temples or a bold rectangular shape, in seasonal hues of red, rust and pink.

The Givenchy Spring 2025 collection will be available online and in-store starting on October.
