I have visited Lövstabruk before, there is a manor house and moat/lake there. It is lovely any time of year but I think the snow makes places look even more magical.

Rotterdam offers plenty of things to do for visitors. See the stunning views of the skyline and enjoy the panoramic view over Rotterdam from the Euromast Tower. By the tower you find o.a. the Pancake Boat, Splash Tours and The Park. There's the Erasmus Bridge with on the North side the Spido Harbour Tours, Historic Tram Tours and a Waterbus stop. To the South side of the bridge you will find the Cruise Terminal, Food Hallen, building The Rotterdam, Holland-America Line building and a little further at the Maashaven the museum Steamship Rotterdam. More towards the city centre is the Leuve Harbour (Leuvehaven) with Harbour Museum, Maritime Museum and Port Pavilion that give you more info about the Port of Rotterdam.

York Castle in the city of York, England, is a fortified complex comprising, over the last nine centuries, a sequence of castles, prisons, law courts and other buildings on the south side of the River Foss. The now-ruinous keep of the medieval Norman castle is commonly referred to as Clifford's Tower. Built originally on the orders of William I to dominate the former Viking city of York, the castle suffered a tumultuous early history before developing into a major fortification with extensive water defences.

As I'm busy with work and real life getting in the way this weekend I won't be able to get out with the camera. So here's another shot from my trip to London in November. Taken as the sun was rising on a very cold morning on the South Bank. Probably London's most iconic bridge which is often mistaken as "London" Bridge.

Have a Wonderful day! I will try to catch up with you guys later.

Invercargill’s Water Tower has been described as an architectural treasure and a prime example of Victorian architecture. For the engineering profession the Water Tower demonstrates the ability to provide a utilitarian structure which is aesthetically pleasing.

Invercargill is built on almost entirely flat land. The highest point within the Invercargill Borough in the 1880s was designated as reserve land with consequent protection against development. To complement reserve status, the Water Tower was built in brick with a tank covered by a distinctive cupola, unlike many structures of this type which were constructed of concrete or steel with purely function and rather than in mind.

Talan Towers are 145m high twin skyscrapers located in the centre of Astana. The Ritz Carlton Hotel is located in one of them.

The Rattoo Round Tower is one of Ireland’s finest examples of round tower dating from the 10th century. The Tower stands on the grounds of an ancient monastery. It’s thought to have been founded by Bishop Lughach, one of the first Christian evangelists in County Kerry.

Additionally, the site boasts the ruins of a 15th-century church. Rattoo is probably the most historic site in the parish of Ballyduff, as well as an old graveyard, the remains of an abbey and a Great House. It is located 2 miles from the village on the Ladies Walk.

The Tower is 90ft tall and has a basement and 5 floors. It has 5 windows. One window on the fourth floor, and four windows on the top floor facing North, South, East and West. In Round Towers, these windows were used by the Monks for a safety procedure. There was also a bell on the top of the tower, which the monks rang to warn the monastery and the locals to hide in the tower in times of danger.

Unfortunately it was closed today. As you can see it's undergoing some restorations. I'll visit again next time I'm in the area. I also have a few ground shots which I may post one if it's suitable.

Perched on a hill above the village of Llanarthne, Paxton’s Tower looks out on the Towy Valley. Built over 200 years ago, the majestic tower is in fact a folly built in memorial to Admiral Lord Nelson and to impress the people of the valley.

Plas Brondanw in Garreg, Llanfrothen, Gwynedd, North Wales, was the family home of Clough Williams-Ellis, creator of the Italianate village Portmeirion, and elements of similar architectural styles can be seen at both locations. It is a grade II* listed building.
