Pretty city with England's cheapest pint at £3.35 - less than half the cost of London beer
The cost of a beverage in this corner of the country will set you back significantly less than a pint in the capital.
With a feast of football on the way this summer many people might be thinking of heading to the pub to watch the Euro 2024 championships, and one place in England could offer the cheapest pint.
The historic city of Gloucester is 113 miles from London and it's also a long way from the price of beer, with an average pint costing £3.35.
According to a survey by data site Finder.com, pub goers in the capital can expect to shell out a whopping £6.75 if they want to have a drink.
Gloucester is famous for its inland docks on the River Severn and beautiful architecture, including a stunning 11th century cathedral.
The area is also one of the heartlands of rugby union in the UK, which might go some way to explain why the beer is so reasonably priced.

As the UK's most inland port, Gloucester offers some beautiful waterfront locations to enjoy a night out or simply to take an evening stroll around.
Thosen interested in the history of the city could visit the National Waterways Museum and the Museum of Gloucester, and for fans of children's author Beatrix Potter there is the House of the Tailor of Gloucester, which is dedicated to one of her most beloved characters.
Visit Gloucester says the city is home to a "wide variety" of other exciting activities and boasts tourists could try out "go-karting, escape rooms, skiing and snowboarding" as well as a "Ninja Warrior-inspired obstacle course".
The local tourism body adds: "If you’re in the mood for some retail therapy, Gloucester Quays is the perfect location to take advantage of discounts on some of your favourite brands, while the Gate Streets are full of independent shops for you to discover."
In the survey of national beer prices, Finder also discovered that drinkers in Bristol, only 40 miles from Gloucester, will end up paying around two pounds more for tipple.
In second place behind London in the table for most expensive was Oxford, a famous university city, but it looks like quite a bit of the student loan will have to be used up to buy pints at £5.69.
Continuing the trend of places starting with a 'b' being pricey for beer, Brighton an Belfast also made the top five, with pints at £5.47 and £5.48 respectively.

At the other end of the beer price league table, the second least expensive place to enjoy a few was the Yorkshire city of Hull, where the cost at the bar was £3.61.
Third and fourth places for a bargain beer were Northampton and Sunderland, with drinkers having to put their hands in their pockets for £3.74 and £3.75.
Luckily for thirsty drinkers in London, there is a place relatively close by where they can find a cheaper pint. Luton, which is just a 30 minute train journey away, came fifth in the table of cheaper pints, with a healthy price of £3.77.
