Geri Horner has reverted back to her maiden name, Halliwell, in a new video with Dior.

The decision to change back to the name that she broke through as a member of the Spice Girls with comes just months after her husband, Red Bull chief Christian Horner, was caught up in a saga involving a member of staff.

Christian was accused of inappropriate behaviour by a female employee earlier this year but consistently denied any wrongdoing before being cleared of misconduct after an investigation was conducted into the accusation.

Geri has stood by her husband throughout the saga, though a recent name change has raised eyebrows among fans of the pop star, as well as Red Bull followers.

As part of a video with French fashion company Dior, the 51-year-old looked into the history of the brand in Scotland ahead of their upcoming runway show at Drummond Castle in Crieff on June 3.

After the camera panned to Gerri, the global superstar introduced herself by saying: “Hello! It’s me Geri, Geri Halliwell.”

Geri took her husband’s last name when she tied the knot with the 50-year-old in 2015, though she has recently opted to refer to herself as ‘Halliwell-Horner’ and changed her Instagram handle to include her new preference.

Christian and Geri put on a united front over the past few months to diffuse speculation, though her introduction whilst working with Dior may have put their relationship under a microscope once again at a time when the ordeal appeared to be drawing to a close.

Horner has regularly thanked his wife for her support, especially when she stood by his side whilst he was accused of inappropriate behaviour. Speaking in March, he said: “I'm very thankful I have a beautiful family and a very supportive wife. I'm the only one who has been named in this. So of course, it's very trying. When there's children involved, family, parents... it's not pretty,” he told members of the media.

“The intrusion on my family is now enough. We need to move forward. Obviously, there's been an awful lot of coverage surrounding this. But one has to go back to the basis that a grievance was raised, it was investigated, and it was dismissed."
