Lorraine Kelly's colleague, Dr Hilary Jones, was full of admiration for the presenter after she braved the chilly Scottish waters in a stunning swimsuit.

The 64-year-old TV favourite took a break from her presenting duties and headed to the serene Orkney Archipelago in Scotland. Eager to relax, Lorraine plunged into the sea for an invigorating swim.

Captured on film in a chic, low-cut swimsuit, Lorraine dashed across the beach and into the waves for what she described as a "refreshing" dip. The footage was proudly displayed on her morning show, earning her praise from Dr Hilary Jones.

Discussing her ocean adventure with the TV doctor, Lorraine said: "See we had to run a long, long way but we actually did go in." She admitted the swim was "bracing" yet "absolutely fantastic", reports the Mirror.

Dr Hilary extolled the health benefits of her swim, saying: "It's meant to be very good for you, it's good for the circulation, good for the heart and good for the mood."

Lorraine recounted her leisurely activities, including a delightful walk where she spotted puffins and little pigs, adding: "We had just the best time."

"You look very well on it," Dr Hilary remarked, complimenting her post-swim glow. Lorraine replied, feeling rejuvenated: "I feel very well on it, actually, it's just like a recharge of your batteries."

Elsewhere on the show, Dr Hilary delivered a grave caution regarding the use of internet-bought weight loss drugs, highlighting the potential for unproven side effects.

Lorraine probed her colleague: "What are the side affects, do we know? " to which Dr Hilary responded with a list of concerns: "Short term nausea and diarrhoea. Plus headaches and fatigue".

He continued, outlining more serious long-term risks: "Then long-term, there's also links to pancreatitis and thyroid issues and thyroid cancer. People have also woke up with sudden blindness through the sciatic nerve."
