We Hunt Together season 2, episode 1 cast: Who is returning to the BBC drama?

We Hunt Together season two will delve into a new chapter with familiar faces returning for the new episodes.

The Alibi and BBC show’s first season saw what happened when two people with troubled pasts came together to go on a killing spree, leading to detectives reuniting to investigate the horrific murders.

It’s been more than a year since series one debuted on BBC iPlayer and now the thriller is returning for a second outing, although not everyone is making a comeback.

Who is in the cast of We Hunt Together season 2? 

DS Lola Franks - Eve Myles

DS Lola Franks is one of the two detectives who is going to be investigating a new series of murders in season two, after the events of the first outing.

She is portrayed by Welsh actress Eve Myles who has been in Broadchurch and Hijack but is most likely best known for playing Faith Howells in the drama Keeping Faith.

Freddy Lane - Hermione Corfield 

Once again up to no good is serial killer Freddy Lane who actress Hermione Corfield previously confessed to The New York Post, wants to “feel what everyone else feels…she’s just wired differently.”

Actress Corfield has been in The Misfits, Sea Fever, The Road Dance and Rust Creek, just to name a few.

DI Jackson Mendy - Babou Ceesay 

In the first season, Jackson was more concerned with his home life as his wife was getting ready to give birth to twins so a different side to the detective inspector is bound to be seen this time around.

Some of actor Babou Ceesay’s other roles so far have been in Dark Money, Wolfe, Guerilla, Shardlake and The Best of Enemies.

Unfortunately, actor Dipo Ola won’t be reprising his role as Freddy’s partner in crime Baba in season two.

He succumbed to a gunshot wound as he and Freddy were trying to escape but came up with a plan just before he died.

Baba pretended to murder Freddy but she was later found as a so-called hostage, coming out as a survivor of coercion in the hope that she wouldn’t go to prison for her crimes.
