ITV quizzer Jenny Ryan is best known for her witty humour and comebacks on The Chase alongside host Bradley Walsh. However, fans of the show will see The Vixen in a different light this year.

The 42-year-old will be starring in the Beauty and the Beast pantomime in Cheshire from December 13 to January 5 next year. Jenny will be appearing in the festive play as The Enchantress next to actors Malcolm Lord and Ste Johnson.

Lyceum Theatre shared the news of Jenny joining the pantomime on their Instagram, causing The Chase fans to go into a frenzy. Sharing an image of the ITV star, they wrote: “We’re thrilled to welcome JENNY RYAN from The Chase to our amazing cast for this year’s beauty of a pantomime!

“Join us this December for Cheshire’s favourite family pantomime Beauty and the Beast. Make family memories with this fun-filled Christmas cracker, from Friday 13 December 2024 – Sunday 5 January 2025!”

Jenny appears in the image smiling in a white Victorian-inspired ball gown with glasses to match. Standing with her hands on her hips, Jenny is wearing a dazzling tiara and necklace to match.

It wasn’t long before people commented on the news, with many excited to see Jenny on the stage.

Speaking about her upcoming role with Lee Blakeman on BBC Radio Stoke, Jenny expressed her excitement.

She commented: “Panto is just an amazing experience, it’s just such a privilege to be part of people’s Christmas celebrations. It’s a routine for so many families, it’s going back decades. You feel like you’re part of a tradition going back hundreds of years.

“But also, you’re part of a new tradition and you are up on stage, part of somebody’s first-ever experience of the theatre.”
