Hundreds of people were urgently dispersed at a nightclub in the early hours of this morning after a mass brawl turned into a stabbing spree. The Met Police say around 400 people were present at a club in Harbet Road, north London when the violence unfolded.

As officers arrived at the scene, three men were found with stab injuries - and more police were drafted in to control the huge crowds at the venue.

The three men - two aged in their 20s, one in his 40s - were taken to hospital by ambulance. The condition of all three is not believed to be life-threatening, the force has confirmed.

An urgent investigation is now underway, with a plea from police for witnesses. A statement says: "A large crime scene remains in place in Harbert Road and the police investigation will involve forensic analysis as well as a trawl for available CCTV.

"Officers are appealing for anyone with information, any witnesses yet to speak with police and anyone who captured mobile phone footage to call the Met on 101 quoting CAD 654/08jul. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers."
