A grandad won four huge lotto jackpots in a single game using numbers and tickets belonging to his late wife.

Army veteran Malcolm Blanche initially won £66,666 on the People's Postcode Lottery but was left stunned when a further three cheques arrived. His prize was quadrupled to £266,664 thanks to playing four tickets after his postcode was selected as part this week's Millionaire Street prize.

The 72-year-old and his late wife Carolyn bought two tickets each when they initially signed up to the lotto draw. But after Carolyn died in 2019, Malcolm carried on playing with her lucky tickets, eventually coming up trumps.

Malcolm, who served in the former Queen's Regiment in Belfast, said: "My wife recently died. She had two tickets and I had two. I just decided to keep them on. She'd be over the moon and shaking right now."

He added: "When I saw the first cheque, I thought 'that'll do', then it came again, again and again. I'm chuffed when I get a tenner."

The dad-of-two grabbed his hefty prize along with ten other neighbours thanks to their CT20 3NG postcode in Folkstone, Kent.

Malcolm added: "First of all, we'll go out for a meal tonight and then I don't really know what else, to be honest. I'm doing the garden, so I will get that sorted.

"I might go on holiday. I like the Isle of Wight and Edinburgh. I'll help the family too."
