Waitrose shoppers are being urged to take advantage of a 'little-known' deal that means they get a 'free' coffee with their shop - and it doesn’t matter how much they spend.

Coffee is a major part of many people’s morning routine, but it can be a frivolous spend with a cup sometimes costing up to £5.

But, if you’re looking to get your coffee fix on a budget then Waitrose has a way shoppers could get a cup for mere pennies.

While not being the cheapest supermarket to shop at, Waitrose gives shoppers the option to enjoy a free coffee when they shop in stores.

In a TikTok video shared by Save The Student, shoppers were shown how easy it is to get a coffee for as little as 13p.

Here's how we got this coffee for FREE... almost Waitrose isn't the cheapest place to do your weekly shop. But if you're passing, it might just be the cheapest place to get a cup of tea or coffee. There's no minimum spend to get your free hot drink so you can choose a piece of fruit or something else relatively cheap. We chose this banana that scanned at just 13p... dreamy. All you have to do is pay for your item/s, print the receipt and then scan your MyWaitrose card at the coffee machine to redeem your free drink. You do need to have a MyWaitrose card to be able to get your hands on this coffee deal, but it's free and simple to sign up to.

The coffee options available for free are an americano, cappuccino, latte or tea and you won’t have to pay for milk alternatives.

Simply scan your MyWaitrose card at the checkout when paying then head to the coffee machine to get your drink.

But remember to bring your own reusable coffee cup as Waitrose don’t provide paper cups in a bid to be more sustainable.
