Sir Ringo Starr may now be 84, but the music legend seems to be getting younger with his ever-youthful vigour.

As is his wish every year, The Beatles drummer took to social media urging fans worldwide to make peace hand signs and wish each other “Peace and Love”.

He posted on Instagram: “OK Peace & Love here we go again! Thanks for joining me on my birthday. I am so grateful to you all for helping me promote Peace & Love. I want to give special thanks to all the Peace & Love Ambassadors - we are in 34 countries!

“Thanks for doing it - and I gotta thank all the fans, peace & love - just join me in your mind, or on the bus or wherever you are on the 7th of the 7th just go Peace & Love at Noon your local time.”

Meanwhile, Sir Paul McCartney and the estates of John Lennon and George Harrison have paid tribute to Ringo on his birthday.

Macca shared a picture of the two of them from earlier this year and captioned it: “Happy birthday to Ringo and to my Dad! Hope Sir Richard Starkey has a fabulous day.”

The Instagram post also included a snap of Paul’s father James McCartney, who died in 1976.

Meanwhile, John Lennon’s estate posted a picture of him with Ringo and simply captioned it: “HAPPY BIRTHDAY RINGO! Peace and Love!”
