Penny Lancaster and Rod Stewart have a love spanning 25 years after meeting in 1999 and marrying in 2007, but the model admits that their relationship hasn’t come without its challenges.

Rod, 79, is still working hard after six decades in the business – recently wrapping up a European tour and getting ready to fly across the pond for his Las Vegas residency.

Showing no signs of slowing down soon, Penny admits that his dedication to his work can sometimes be a struggle.

She told HELLO!: "He loves what he does so much and will never retire. He's a workaholic and constantly on the move. I struggle to keep up with his training schedule. He works out three or four times a week – even on tour."

Despite his rock and roll life, Rod always makes time for his wife and ensures they have date nights even while he is on tour.

Penny added: “You need a healthy attraction. Rod and I can have dinner in a crowded room or just the two of us – we always have eyes for each other.”

The couple share sons Alastair, 18, and Aiden, 13, together and Rod has six children with four other mothers. He is a dad to four daughters — Sarah, 60, Kimberly, 44, Ruby, 37, and Renee, 32 — and two other sons — Sean, 43 and Liam, 29.

He previously revealed that he has to be "several different fathers" due to the big age gaps between his children.

The Maggie May hitmaker told People in 2021: "You really have to treat all of them as individuals with individual problems. As a dad, I've learned to listen and not blow my top."

He added that "seeing all his kids and my wife with big smiles on their faces" is what "makes him happiest".

Rod will jet to Las Vegas later this month to revive his The Hits residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

The leg of shows will run from July 24 until August 2024 and will mark the end of his residency after a whopping 13 years on the Vegas strip.

However, Rod has not ruled out a return to Sin City, telling the Daily Star last year: “If I go back to Vegas - and I’d like to - if the album is a big success, maybe I could do a swing show. Big band stuff.”
