Call The Midwife's Olly Rix 'unfollows' Helen George on social media as they 'drift apart'

Call The Midwife's on-screen husband and wife Olly Rix and Helen George, who play Matthew and Trixie Aylward in the BBC period drama, have reportedly drifted apart off-screen after the actor appeared to unfollow her on Instagram. He also seemed to remove a selfie of the pair from his page, although Helen still follows him on the social media site.
The BBC colleagues were said to have been supporting each other as they navigated heartbreak having both split from their respective partners last year. The pair were spotted together on several occasions and he also showed up to the press night for The King and I in January to support Helen who was playing the role of Anna.
"They were there for each other in the wake of their splits," a source recently claimed to The Sun. "But it seems they are no longer close and have made this clear by removing each other on social media."
"Olly even went one step further and deleted a picture of him and Helen from Instagram," they added.
Express.co.uk has contacted representatives for Helen George and Olly Rix for comment.
The pair were last spotted together in March in Kensington, London as they joined Helen's friend for a pub lunch. Helen, 40, and Olly, 36, arrived and left together in a taxi along with the actress' dog.
In July 2023, Helen announced that she had split from her actor partner Jack Ashton after seven years together. During the same period, Olly announced he had separated from his girlfriend Natasha Fagri.
Jack played Reverend Tom Hereward in the BBC period drama and he and Helen hit it off after they went to South Africa to film the show's Christmas special.
The former couple share two daughters, Wren Ivy, born in September 2017, and Lark, born in November 2021.

Confirming the split at the time, Helen said in a statement: "Some months ago, we separated. Our two beautiful girls remain the focus and I respectfully ask for privacy for this next chapter."
In early 2024, rumours emerged that Helen was dating co-star Olly, who plays her husband Matthew Ayward on the show.
While his character has been axed from the series, Helen confirmed her return in May, after claims she would be leaving as Trixie decided to move to America with Matthew to fix their financial situation in the season finale.
She took to her Instagram stories to share a photo of herself in her iconic blonde bob wig, tagging the show's official social media account.
