Egg Cream
Nope, there's no egg or cream in this classic concoction. It’s actually a fizzy, not-too-sweet mix of chocolate syrup, bubbly water, and milk, and it’s one of those old-school soda fountain drinks that absolutely everyone should try.

Salted Speculoos Malts
If you love Biscoff cookies, you’ll adore this variation on the classic malted milkshake. Salt and malted milk powder amplify the buttery brown sugar flavors of the speculoos cookie butter here, and it’s a flavor combination our staffers can’t stop raving about.

Razzle Dazzle

Trampoline Frappé
Soda jerks served crushes, phosphates, fizzes, and sodas—plus frappés, which are basically fancy slushies served on ice that was meant to resemble a flurry of snow. (Pebble ice or crushed ice works fine here.) This modern strawberry-basil frappé gets well-rounded flavor from fresh pineapple juice and fragrant Peychaud’s bitters.

Chocolate Malt
Malt lovers know that a chocolate milkshake can never compete with the toasty flavor of a malted one. Top with whipped cream and chocolate-covered malt balls or a dusting of cocoa powder if you like.
