    The  Course "São Paulo School of Advanced Science in Hologenomic Data Analysis for Agriculture" will provide students and young researchers with an interdisciplinary view of hologenomics and state-of-the-art knowledge on how to analyze and integrate the analysis of different omics.

    Course São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Hologenomic Data Analysis For Agriculture

    The São Paulo School of Advanced Science (SPSAS) brings together scientists and students in short courses to analyze advanced topics in various areas of research, contributing to the training of participants and creating in the State of São Paulo a center for attracting globally competitive scientific talent .

    The professors who teach subjects at SPSAS are researchers with high global visibility, evidenced through elements such as obtaining high-level scientific awards, publications with an impact recognized by the community in the area and leadership in prominent international organizations.

    The  Course "São Paulo School of Advanced Science in Hologenomic Data Analysis for Agriculture" will provide students and young researchers with an interdisciplinary view of hologenomics and state-of-the-art knowledge on how to analyze and integrate the analysis of different omics. Furthermore, this school intends to discuss how these tools can improve the development of new agricultural management strategies.

    Criteria for selection of students that will participate in the course

    Participating students must be enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate courses in Brazil or abroad. Postdoctoral fellows and young researchers can apply. The selected students will have the opportunity to present, in poster sessions, the results of their research, discussing the progress of their results with the participating scientists.The school welcomes students, around 50% of whom are foreigners. 40 candidates will be selected:

    - 20 residents in Brazil and 20 foreign residents, potential candidates for doctorates, courses or post-doctoral studies in scientific institutions in the State of São Paulo;

    The selection will seek a balanced distribution of students in the course's areas of interest, in addition to a homogeneous institutional and geographic distribution.

    Fully funded

    There is no fee for selected participants of the" São Paulo School of Advanced Science on Hologenomic Data Analysis For Agriculture". Furthermore, air tickets from the international airport closest to the living city to São Paulo International Airport (GRU) in economy class, daily expenses (accommodation, meals and other subsistence living expenses) will be covered by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) for all selected participants who are not based in São Carlos/SP. Health insurance for non-residents in Brazil will also be covered by FAPESP.

    The values of the daily expenses will follow the FAPESP rules depending on your status: master or PhD student or Postdoctoral/young researcher. The amounts will be paid in Brazilian currency (reais, R$).

    Participants that are receiving scholarships or fellowships from FAPESP will not receive transportation and daily expenses. They will need to cover these expenses with their ongoing overhead.

    Abstracts on projects that are still in progress, lacking conclusive results, are also welcomed.
