SEASONAL/TEMPORARY

P-T Construction Department Assistant

The Township of Denville is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a seasonal/temporary Part-Time Construction Department Assistant in the Township’s Construction Department.

The position will be for 25 hours per week and will end after 10 – 12 weeks.           

Salary:    $18 - $20 per hour, dependent upon qualifications and experience.

General Job Duties:

  1. Must possess exceptional customer service skills and be able to effectively interact with contractors and citizens, fellow employees and management in a polite, courteous and professional manner at all times;
  2. Assist the Construction Department staff in the processing of paperwork associated with UCC Permits;
  3. Effectively organize and perform filing of the UCC permits along with copying/scanning files associated with Open Public Record Act (OPRA) requests; and
  4. Perform other duties as assigned or as required.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent (college experience preferred); and
  2. Experience in a Construction Department a plus but not required.
