Selected as the official 'Logistics Partner' for the 2024 OxTrail, Darcica is spearheading the management, transportation, collection and delivery of more than 30 life-sized Ox sculptures across Oxfordshire

throughout the summer for Sobell House Hospice.

Three carbon saving facts about the OxTrail

1. Oxen deliveries go green

Some of the Oxen have been delivered via electric vehicles. Darcica’s electric vans produce zero CO2 tailpipe emissions, so for every km we’ll be saving over 120g of CO2, helping to improve the air quality in Oxford as well as keeping vehicle noise to a minimum!

2. Walking the trail will help save the planet

By walking the 20km OxTrail rather than driving you’ll be saving even more CO2 and remember every mile you walk burns an average of 100 calories!

3. Take a veggie lunch with you on the Trail

Eating a vegetarian diet is one of the best things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint and help stop climate change (meat production releases carbon dioxide and methane into the environment) – it’s also delicious and can make you feel great!

What is the OxTrail?

For eight weeks, the charming streets of Oxford will come alive with the presence of over 30 magnificent, life-sized Ox sculptures. Each of these sculptures is a unique work of art, crafted by talented artists and enthusiastic students from local schools. This vibrant and family-friendly trail promises to captivate the hearts of residents and visitors alike, inviting them to rediscover the beauty of their own city while welcoming guests from around the globe.
