Filming for the show will start on February 26.
Karl's return to the screen comes after he was let go from the Today show, following a raft of bad publicity due to his tumultuous personal life.
The high-profile dumping occurred during his honeymoon in Aspen, Colorado with new wife Jasmine Yarbrough after the lavish nuptials in Mexico.
The couple tied the knot in an opulent ceremony at Cabo's exclusive One and Only Palmilla earlier that month.

Prior to the axing, ratings for show had dwindled to a 12-year low amid reports that female viewers had turned on the star after his divorce from wife-of-21-years Cassandra Thorburn.
Following his departure Channel Nine has completely revamped the show's line-up with two female hosts, Georgie Gardener and Deborah Knight.
The news also comes as Karl's ex-wife Cassandra also makes a return to the spotlight to appear on Channel Ten's Dancing With The Stars reboot.
