Paloma Faith is forced to cancel TWO more shows after being diagnosed with laryngitis

Paloma Faith has been forced to cancel a further two shows this weekend, at the Haydock Park and Lingfield Park Racecourses, after contracting Laryngitis.

The singer, 37, was advised by her doctor that she needed to rest following her recent illness, which she had been diagnosed with last Saturday.

Having already pulled out of her concert at Glastonbury Abbey Extravaganza last weekend, the star had hoped that she would be able to perform by Friday.

Paloma broke the news to her fans via Twitter on Thursday, where she wrote: 'I am so sorry to announce that under doctors' orders I am unable to perform my two shows this weekend.

'I hate to disappoint my fans and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

'I do hope to continue my tour once recovered and look forward to seeing you in the future. All my love, Paloma.'

Despite the disappointing news, the Lingfield Park Resort advised concertgoers via email that they were 'in the process of looking to secure another top music act' for Saturday.

As such, all tickets would remain valid and no refund appeared to be offered to concertgoers, instead they were told that they would be eligible for a complimentary ticket to any event at the venue in the next six months.

Haydock Park Racecourse, meanwhile, advised guests that they are entitled to an 80 per cent refund on their tickets following the cancellation of Friday's show.

Last week, Paloma performed at Belladrum Festival in the Scottish Highlands and was expected to then sing the next day for a sold-out crowd in Glastonbury.

Just hours before she was due on stage, though, the singer revealed that she was not allowed to sing at risk of causing 'long term damage' to her vocal chords.

The songstress was then replaced by Tom Odell and Rodney Branigan who were brought in by helicopter and private hire cars to get to the venue in time.
