Terri Irwin had a big smile on her face as she was greeted by her burly bodyguard Mick at Brisbane International Airport on Thursday. 

Travelling with her son Robert and daughter Bindi, the Australia Zoo matriarch appeared to share a joke with the security guard after the family touch down following a trip to Los Angeles.

Her pal Mick met with the clan at the airport's arrival area and walked them safely to their the car.

He appeared to have a great rapport with the family, with the group spotted having an animated conversation.

At one point Robert also laughed at a joke as they made their way across the airport parking lot.

Meanwhile Bindi and her boyfriend Chandler kept a low profile as they followed the trio from behind with their own luggage cart.

Mick helped the clan pack their belongings into a Lexus four-wheel drive, before driving them back to Australia Zoo.

The family's arrival in Brisbane comes after they recently unveiled Steve Irwin's star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

It was an incredibly emotional and happy moment for the family as they remembered the great work and legacy left by the late Wildlife Warrior during the ceremony. 

In her speech, Bindi teared up as she paid tribute to her father, saying: 'I never in my wildest dreams imagined this would come true.'

'Together we will continue to fight for everything Dad worked so hard for.'

'He was the best and most incredible conservationist, but also the best dad,' her brother Robert added during his own speech.

It is the 2635th star to be placed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Celebrity chef Curtis Stone, Rove McManus and Beau Bridges were among the guests.

Steve, 44, died on September 4, 2006 while filming on the Great Barrier Reef near Port Douglas when a stingray struck him with a barb to the heart.
