Chanelle Hayes reveals she battled mystery illness just before wedding that caused her to lose 'a lot of weight really unexpectedly'
Chanelle Hayes married her fiancé Dan Bingham in an intimate wedding ceremony last weekend.
And now the Big Brother star, 36, has revealed the truth her big day after getting engaged two years ago - after suffering from a mystery illness in the lead up to the big day.
The star - who was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME) three years ago -said the health woes led to her dropping lots of weight in a short period of time.
She told Ok! Magazine: 'Things could have been a huge disaster. My health hadn't been the greatest in the weeks leading up to the wedding – I'm waiting on test results for a few things and I lost a lot of weight really unexpectedly.
'So my dress needed a lot of alterations and it wasn't actually ready until the day before the wedding.

'It was horrific – I just kept thinking, 'It's okay, Dan said he'd marry me in a bin bag!' I did feel amazing on my wedding day but I didn't anticipate being that thin.'
Elsewhere she spoke about tailoring the food on her big day to her gastric band needs.
Chanelle has ranged from a dress size 6-18 over the years and lost 10 stone following a secret gastric sleeve operation.
She now can't eat a big meal anymore and swapped a traditional three-course dinner for canapes followed by there favourite dish: pie, mash and peas.
During the interview she also reflected on if she wanted more children - saying it would not happen as Dan had a vasectomy earlier this year.
She joked: 'God, no. I sent Dan for the snip last Valentine's Day. They had a cancellation, so it was fate and I said, 'Get yourself down there!'
Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022.
The former BB housemate was reportedly 'over the moon' and said 'yes straight away' with a source telling OK! magazine: 'She's been dreaming of this for such a long time.

The TV personality shares her son Blakely, 11, with her ex-partner Matthew Bates, who she was in a relationship with between 2009 and 2010.
She also has Frankie, four, with Edward Oates, who she was with on-and-off from 2016 to 2017.
In October 2021, the influencer told her Instagram followers in a Q&A that she planned to walk down the aisle with her man and posted a rare photo of them.
In the post, Chanelle was asked 'Do you think you will get married?'
She replied to the fan with a 'Yes' and a love heart as she concealed Dan's identity with the question box.
In the snap, they could be seen looking cosy over drinks as she revealed at the time that she found the one.
