MAFS star Lucinda Light hits back at 'gossiping' claims and apologises for 'offending' TV groom Timothy Smith in latest twist in shock feud: 'I don't want to spend my time in war'

Lucinda Light has hit back at 'gossiping' claims and apologised for 'offending' her on-screen husband Timothy Smith in the latest twist in their shock feud.

The celebrant and the businessman were matched up on the 2024 series of Married At First Sight and though they didn't find love, their friendship captured fans' hearts.

However, the pair have since become embroiled in an unexpected and shocking feud, with Lucinda claiming Tim had blocked her on social media.

Tim then told fans how he had been left 'disappointed' by hearing 'untrue' things Lucinda allegedly said, while an insider claimed she had been 'gossiping' about him.

Now, Lucinda has issued a lengthy statement to Instagram about their feud, apologising to Tim and their fellow castmates for any 'offence' caused.

She admitted she would have liked the chance to talk through her differences with Tim on the phone rather than being blocked as she detailed their difficulties.

Hitting back at 'gossiping' claims, Lucinda insisted she had only 'confided' in their fellow castmates about 'behaviours' that had upset her.

She penned: 'In regards to the comments and blocking Tim has done~Conscious, clear and kind communication would have been my preference.

'If I'd offended Tim, I would have loved a phone conversation toward resolve. A couple of times I've confided in other cast members about genuine processes I've had since the show and behaviours that have upset me.

'I'm sure I'm not alone in that, we all need to process and share. Going on a reality TV show has been a huge experience and in many ways, I'm still processing it.

'In my heart, I've always held Tim with understanding and compassion. I take responsibility for any hurt I may of caused by sharing my feelings and hurts.'

Lucinda went on to share hopes for their friendship as she asked Tim for 'forgiveness' and apologised for 'upsetting' him.

She went on: 'There are no hard feelings my end and I still hold a lantern of hope for our friendship. Ho'oponopono ~ I'm Sorry, Please Forgive Me, Thank You, I Love You.'

'I appreciate the feedback from any cast members or anyone that feels I've upset Tim in anyway, certainly not my intention.'

'If Tim doesn't know what I stand for from the months of hanging out then there's nothing I can do to about that. I only wish Tim all the love & success.'

'This is the last I'll say on this piece, I've said what I have to say. I want to get on with my life~ I've got lots of love to share and I believe Tim does too.'

'Everyone's just trying their best in this one precious life and I for one don't want to spend my energy and time in war, with anyone.'

The couple split before making their final commitment on MAFS earlier this year, but remained very close after filming wrapped up last year.

However, news of their estrangement emerged last month, with Tim then opening up about why he severed ties with Lucinda.

In a revealing comment, Tim told Yahoo Lifestyle that he did not walk away easily, saying: 'Eight chances was enough.'

He claimed Lucinda was 'different' to the person he had been married to during filming as he detailed their feud.

'Hearing bits and pieces that were untrue, stuff that was twisted, that has been disappointing,' he added.

While he wished Lucinda all the best, he shared his desire to back to a normal life after his stint on reality TV.

Meanwhile an insider, described as a 'close friend', claimed that Tim cut things off with Lucinda because she had allegedly been 'gossiping' about him.

Some of their season 11 co-stars admitted they were confused by their quiet falling out, but suggested it may be because Lucinda is 'too busy' to spend time with Tim.

One star claimed there is a 'lot of resentment' towards Lucinda because of her work opportunities, but added that Tim was the least likely to be 'jealous' of her success.

Lucinda has gone from strength-to-strength since her appearance on MAFS earlier this year and has already racked in numerous impressive work opportunities.
