She said the therapist told her to 'treat yourself with a little bit of kindness.'

While giving her improvised acceptance speech at the event, Sonia said she believes the reason expected winner Hamish did not again take home the Gold is that he had already won it twice.

Sonia, who shares the same agent with the Lego Masters host, said their agent told her, 'I think people are a little over Hamish.'

She claimed he had added, 'Frankly, I am hoping [Hamish] will leave the agency so I can concentrate all of my efforts on you, Sonia.'

The cameras then cut to a confused-looking Hamish, who was seated in the audience next to his wife Zoë Foster Blake.

'I was making the joke about our agent, Hamish [Blake] and I, and I think people took it seriously,' Kruger later told the radio hosts.

'It was an absolute joke and the agent found it funny, I hope Hamish did too. I must give him an apology email today.'

'I was not expecting this, I think you probably could tell by my terrible acceptance speech,' she later told The Daily Telegraph.

'I'm blown away. It was very loose. There were people in that room I truly consider to be comedic geniuses and to be in the same group as them is a massive compliment.'

The veteran TV presenter faced stiff competition with Julia Morris, Hamish Blake, Leigh Sales, Mark Coles Smith, Osher Günsberg and Shaun Micallef all in the running.

While accepting the award, the host of Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars and The Voice Australia was clearly overwhelmed.
