Russell Crowe has been blamed for an Oasis tribute band being handed a $140 parking fine.

The tribute act, called Noasis, have claimed they were slapped with a parking fine at a concert after Russell, 60, left town with the parking permits earlier in the night.

The band said they were performing at the Hotel Esplanade in St Kilda after Russell's band Indoor Garden Party when they couldn't get a parking space at the venue.

Lead singer Darren Spiby said: 'We couldn't get a park at the Espy, so our van was parked on the street.

'The staff said they didn't have any parking permits because Russell Crowe pissed off with them.'

Darren claimed they contacted the Aussie actor to ask if he was able to send back the permits or spare any money to cover the $140 parking fine they were handed.

However, the band claimed he simply responded: 'That's rock and roll.'

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Russell's representatives for comment.

Though Russell became famous for his Hollywood acting career, he has also long been passionate about music and is gearing up for a European tour with his band.

He recently told how having children saw him put his music career on the back-burner as he discussed his upcoming tour with Indoor Garden Party.

Russell shares kids Charles, 20, and Tennyson, 17, with his ex-wife Danielle Spencer, who he split from in 2018. He is now dating American actress Britney Theriot.

Appearing on Heart Evenings with Dev Griffin earlier this month, Russell told how he sometimes struggles to juggle fatherhood with his music and acting career.

Russell shared: 'It's quite a big chunk of my life once I had kids. The touring took you know, a lesser place in the priority list, mainly because if I go away to make a movie, and then the moment I finished the movie, I'm now on tour, when do I get to be dad?

'And I really want to be dad. And now the amazing thing is, is my eldest son actually gets to travel with me, you know, he's a singer, he's a great songwriter. So that's another level of excitement to it.'

Russell went on to admit that he is nervous to perform on his upcoming tour, telling how music is a bigger part of his life than his fans realise.

He said: 'Music is, you know, I mean, when I first started my pursuit of having a life in entertainment, the first thing that I did was walk out on the stage with a guitar and sang a song.

'So for me, it's kind of like a resetting process, you know, you go through a cycle of time, make a bunch of films and stuff like that.

'And then you want to sort of get back to basics, you want to, you know, rediscover this sort of adrenaline, of walking out onto a rock'n'roll stage, which is very, very different to being on a film set, you know, so very excited about it... super nervous, but that's the reason I do it.

'Because it's that feeling in your gut where your sort of like being torn a little bit, you know, that delicious, uncomfortable feeling, is what you kind of look for.'

Russell's band Indoor Garden Party is set to tour around Europe and the US from June until August, kicking off in Italy before concluding in New Orleans.
