We are ending our live coverage here of the BAFTA TV awards on a night when Top Boy and Happy Valley were the big winners and The Crown failed to land a single award despite eight nominations.

The Crown's BAFTA failure
The hit Netflix series was up for eight BAFTA awards on Sunday but unfortunately came home empty handed.
The nominations included for Dominic West (who played King Charles); Elizabeth Debicki (Princess Diana); and Lesley Manville (Margaret).
However the series six stars missed out to Timothy Spall, The Sixth Commandment - BBC One, Jasmine Jobson, Top Boy - Netflix and Matthew Macfadyen, Succession - Sky Atlantic.
Emotional Sarah Lancashire wins best actress award
The final award to be handed out this evening goes to Sarah Lancashire for her portrayal of Catherine Cawood in the BBC series Happy Valley.
Breaking into tears as she accepts her award, Lancashire says 'It's an honour, thank you,' and pays tribute to her fellow nominees.
She added: 'I feel priveldged to have been surrounded by these brilliant actors. And of cource thank you to my family and the BBC'.

Timothy Spall wins best actor award
Timothy Spall has won the BAFTA award for best actor for his role as murder victim Peter Farquhar in The Sixth Commandment.
Mr Farquhar was murdered in Maids Moreton, a Buckinghamshire village, in 2015 by a churchwarden who went on to defraud the victim's elderly neighbour.
Accepting the award on stage, Spall said: 'The reality is sometimes you get a chance to play people that have had a terrible thing happen to them and all they wanted was love and it's a beautiful thing to be able to tell a story about something like that.
'This is a story about many things... terrible crimes... but it's also about love.'
Prince William sends 'heartfelt' message to Baroness Floella Benjamin as she is awarded BAFTA Fellowship
BAFTA shared a heartfelt video from Prince William who awarded Baroness Floella Benjamin the BAFTA Fellowship award.
The Prince of Wales said he was 'thrilled' to be a part of the ceremony to congratualte Benjamin.
Benjamin received tonight's BAFTA Fellowship - a lifetime achievement award given in recognition of 'outstanding achievement in the art forms of the moving image'.
Benjamin first appeared on our screens in the 1970s and is known for her various presenting roles of children's programmes such as Play School, Play Away, Jamboree and Fast Forward. She was
She was presented with the BAFTA by BBC News presenter Clive Myrie who paid tribute to her 'infectious smile, boundless energy and genuine affection for young viewers'.
Prince William sent a heartfelt video to Bejamin before she accepted the award.
Receiving the award, Benjamin said: 'I am so proud of my work for children. Childhood lasts a lifetime.'
Joe Lycett wins award for best entertainment performance
Comedian Joe Lycett has won the BAFTA for best entertainment performance for his show Late Night Lycett.
Arriving at Royal Festival Hall dressed in a silver Queen Elizabeth I costume, he told the audience: 'I lost a bet'.

Good night for Top Boy after actress Jasmine Jobson won an award for her supporting actress role.
The drama, which has had five series, brings to life the goings on inside the housing estates within crime-riddled areas of East London.

Such Brave Girls wins scripted comedy award
BBC Three comedy Such Brave Girls, which tells the story of a dysfunctional family including two sisters and their single mother, has won the BAFTA for best scripted comedy.
Accepting the award, actress Kat Sadler tells the audience writing for the show happened when she was being sectioned in hospital.
'We cannot believe this, this is mad,' she says.

Lorraine Kelly presented with special BAFTA
ITV daytime host Lorraine Kelly has been presented with a special award to celebrate her television career by fellow Scot Brian Cox.
Taking ton the stage, Lorraine said: 'I never, ever take it for granted that so many people trust me with their stories and I'm so honoured that our viewers think of me as their pal.
'I suppose if I've learned anything at all... it's what's the point of having all that experience if you don't actually share it... and help other people.'
BAFTA gives a nod to late Friends star Matthew Perry during ceremony's annual memoriam list
The late Friends actor Matthew Perry has been recognised by BAFTA in a list of performers that featured in the annual memoriam list alongside George Alagiah and Michael Parkinson.
His inclusion comes after BAFTA explained earlier this year why Perry did not appear in the film list which drew controversy from viewers at the time.
Perry was found dead at his home in Los Angeles in October last year.
Happy Valley wins most memorable award
Happy Valley has won one of the major BAFTA awards after landing most memorable moment for a tense confrontation in the series finale.
The emotional scenes showed characters Catherine Cawood, played by Sarah Lancashire, and Tommy Lee Royce, portrayed by James Norton, encounter one another in the detective's kitchen.
The award is the only one of the evening to be chosen by the public.

Celebrity Race Across the World, the show which sees famous pairs race across multiple countries on a tight budget, has won the BAFTA for for best factual entertainment.
McFly's Harry Judd, All Saints singer Mel Blatt, racing driver Billy Monger and TV weatherman Alex Beresford participated in the latest series.

Netflix's Class Act wins best international TV show
Class Act, the Netflix series that follows the story of ambitious French tycoon Bernard Tapie, has won the BAFTA for best international TV show.

Channel 4 News BAFTA for Israel-Hamas coverage
Channel 4 News has beaten Sky News to win the best news coverage award for its Inside Gaza: : Israel and Hamas at War reporting
Accepting the award in London, Channel 4 said it dedicated the award to journalists killed in the line of duty, adding the conflict has been 'one of the toughest we could have faced.'
The nominations were:

Shamima Begum show wins current affairs award
BBC Two's The Shamima Begum Story has won the BAFTA award for best current affairs.
Created by Josh Baker, the show covers the case of Begum, the London schoolgirl who joined Islamic State at 15, and features an interview with her.
Accepting the award, Mr Baker told the crowd: 'When you take on one of the most contentious stories in Britain... life kind of rewards you with the most incredible thing'.

Black Ops actress wins comedy performance award
Gbemisola Ikumelo, the Black Ops actress who plays a community support officer, has won the award for female performance in a comedy.

Mawaan Rizwan, the lead actor in Juice, the BBC Three show he also created, has won the BAFTA award for best male performance in a comedy.
The show shows Mawaan portray Jamma, a gay man who navigates relationship with his boyfriend and family.
Making the audience laugh, Mawaan said: 'I'm really humbled... no I'm not why am I saying that. I want to thank the people in my life who often go un-thanked'

Eurovision wins best live event award
The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest has won the BAFTA for best live event coverage.
Hannah Waddingham, the host of the show in Liverpool, told the crowd: 'The week we had, this time last year... was I know for everybody here, the most exceptional, stressful week.'

Lockerbie wins award for factual series
Lockerbie, the Sky Documentaries series based on events surrounding the 1988 Lockerbie bombing and subsequent criminal investigation, won the best factual series award.
Claiming the award, director John Dower said: 'Our story is such a horrific one, 270 murdered and they were just travelling home for Christmas.'

White Nanny, Black Child wins best factual award
White Nanny, Black Child, the Channel 5 documentary of Nigerian children adopted by white families in the 1970s has won the award for best specialist factual programme
Accepting the award on stage, producer Andy Mundy-Castle was teary as he told the audience: 'I come from a council estate in Brixton, and this place has been a tough, tough challenge for me to consistently... prevail in.
'It means a lot. I've dreamt, for many years, of being on this stage.'

BBC Three documentary Mobility wins short form award
Mobility, the BBC Three documentary about three disabled teenagers in Huddersfield, has won the BAFTA short form award.
According to BAFTA website, the category is for 'single shorts, short form series and shorts from a strand of any genre that have been commissioned and transmitted on a broadcast channel and/or online platform'.

BAFTA hosts Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan win comedy award
The hosts of tonight's BAFTA ceremony Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan have won the best comedy entertainment programme award for their Sky Max show Rob & Romesh Vs.
The pair were joined by producers when accepting the award and also thanked their wives even though Romesh quipped neither of them were 'massively supportive' which drew laughs from the audience.

This Morning and Coronation Street snubbed by BAFTA
This Morning has failed to receive a BAFTA Television Award nomination following a tumultuous year for the ITV flagship show.
Fellow ITV show Lorraine and Loose Women and its Men's special episode were nominated in the Daytime category, along BBC shows, Make It At Market and Scam Interceptors.
The 2023 winner was The Repair Shop: A Royal Visit.
Who are Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan?
The comedians met on the UK comedy circuit just over a decade ago and quickly became friends.
The pair's genuine friendship resulted in them being offered a host of TV gigs together - including tonight's BAFTAs.
The Crown has the most nods
The Crown viewers were left baffled after it received an incredible eight nominations for the BAFTA TV Awards as they brand the sixth series 'mediocre'.
The TV BAFTA nominations were revealed in March
ahead of the ceremony on May 12, with The Crown leading the way with the most nods in total.
The Netflix hit has been nominated in major categories including Best Actor, Supporting Actor and Supporting Actress.
But critics of the royal drama have suggested it was undeserving of the nods as they claim he has 'gone downhill' and has become a 'snooze fest'.
Some concluded that while the six series drama kicked off with a strong start, it isn't as entertaining as it once was when it began in 2016.
