The Kid Laroi and rumoured new girlfriend Tate McCrae spotted hand-in-hand leaving Michael Rubin's Fanatics party after she insists 'she is single'

The Kid Laroi has recently sparked rumours he's dating Canadian pop star Tate McRae.

And over the weekend, the 20-year-old Australian rapper, whose real name is Charlton Howard, all but confirmed they were an item when he was spotted holding the singer's hand as they left Michael Rubin's Super Bowl party.

Both stars rocked casual outfits as they quickly departed the event.

Tate, 20, was dressed in a throwback 2000s midriff-revealing black top, with a statement belt and baggy black pants.

Meanwhile, Laroi wore a black Balenciaga windbreaker, a black baseball cap, khaki shorts and black and white skate shoes.

The pair have been seen out and about together in multiple places recently, leading fans and online commentators to speculate on the nature of their relationship.

Their latest outing together comes just weeks after Tate insisted that she was currently single. 

When interviewed on KIIS FM by Cooper Johns earlier this month, the singer hosed down the rumours.

'I'm single right now,' she said when asked about her romantic life.

Speculation the pair are dating has been circulating ever since their vacation together in Mexico last month.

In a video shared to social media, the You Broke Me First singer and Laroi were seen dancing with friends.

Adding to the rumours, McRae posted a photo on Instagram during the trip where she seemed to be wearing one of Laroi's shirts over her swimsuit.

Laroi responded to the post with a smiley face emoji wearing sunglasses.

However, some fans have speculated the pop artists are teasing a collaboration rather than a romance, since both of them are signed to record companies under the Sony Music umbrella.

It comes just a few months after Laroi all but confirmed in August he had split from 19-year-old girlfriend Katarina Deme. 

At the time, he conspicuously deleted all photos of the American glamour model from his Instagram feed and stopped following other accounts including Deme's.

Tellingly, Laroi also uploaded an Instagram post, telling his fans he'd been dealing with troubling times. 

'I'm sorry I've been a bit silent. Been going through a lot recently,' the cryptic post began. 

'I'm good but I've just needed space to focus on processing my feelings & work. 

'Here to let you know that a lot of videos have been shot these past couple weeks, I shot the album cover and I'm working with the label to get you a date.'

The So Done singer accompanied his post with several grainy photos of himself on a mountain staring moodily into the distance.
