Bondi Rescue star sells 'magical' Clovelly family home for $4.8M at auction after it was bought for $37K
Anthony 'Harries' Carroll sold his parents' family home in Clovelly for $4.8million after they bought the house for $37,000 in 1975.
Soaring over the auction's price guide of $4million, the Bondi Rescue star, 44, said the home he grew up in was 'the most magical place in the east'.
Realestate.com.au reported the sale on Tuesday, revealing Josh Allen of JT Allen handled the sale with four active buyers in attendance.
The home has a traditional, beachy atmosphere with a cream street façade and a lush garden in the front yard.
Inside boasts a typical Australian layout with four bedrooms, a large entertainment patio and a pool room where the Carroll family stored their surf boards.

Mary Carroll and the late Raymond Leslie Carroll, Harries parents, were the reported owners of the property which sat only metres away from the beach.
Harries grew up there with his twin brother Sean before he left for Bronte to pursue professional surfing at the age of 14.
'It's probably the most magical place in the east, Clovelly. The locals never change and it's a great spot to be,' he said.

The lifesaver's father passed at the age of 84 last July with Harries posting a tribute to Instagram at the time saying: 'I always listen to wise people that have done everything in life (the full package).
'When it comes to dealing with life's journey's Dad was wise, that full package.'
Bidding on the four-bedroom family home opened at $4million before rising by $50,000 and $25,000 increments which Josh said was 'a huge result'.
'A house in Seaview St sold for $3.6m, and that was bigger land and incredible ocean views and this is $1.2m more,' he said.
