Harry Kane has offered a positive injury update after he was substituted during England's victory against Switzerland on Saturday night.

The England captain bizarrely took a tumble into the England dugout and collided with Gareth Southgate in the process.

The England forward appeared to land awkwardly on a cool box, after he had been pushed out of play while challenging for the ball with opposition defender Manuel Akanji.

Kane was left wincing and clutching his left leg after falling awkwardly on a cool box in the technical area.

England boss, Southgate, was unscathed from the incident and attempted to help the Bayern Munich star back to his feet after the collision.

The 30-year-old was substituted minutes later but has given a positive update on his fitness, claiming that he will be fit to start in England's semi-final clash against the Netherlands on Wednesday after they beat Turkey 2-1.

The England captain appeared to land awkwardly on a cool box and was substituted minutes later 

'Yeah, I’m fine — I was just tired,' Kane said when pressed on whether he'll be able to start in England's next match.

'I had a bit of cramp there. I tripped over the water bottles and got cramp in both calves.

'The boss made a quick decision obviously with Ivan [Toney], a proven penalty taker. He came on and did the job.'

Switzerland had taken a 1-0 lead late in the second half, with Breel Embolo beating Jordan Pickford with a precision strike into the bottom left corner. 

But England hit back, with Bukayo Saka scoring a sensational long-range effort from outside the penalty area. 

After nothing could separate either side after extra-time, Saka would step up again to put away his penalty. 

The 30-year-old stated that he would be fit to play in England's upcoming Euro 2024 semi-final clash

There were jubilant scenes at full time after England booked their place in the last four following their win against Switzerland

The England captain also lumped praise on Bukayo Saka (pictured) claiming he was 'proud of the Arsenal star' 

Kane subsequently lauded the Arsenal star for his performance and character during the match.

'To play a new position, I know he’s played there before, but a different position to what he’s used… I know he’s been eager to help the team by getting on the scoresheet,” said Kane.

'For him to play the way he did for 120 minutes, not just with the ball but without the ball, you could see he was absolutely knackered at the end.

'For him to step up and do what he did, to score the penalty in the manner that he did, it was really special. Couldn’t be prouder of him.'
