Jannik Sinner priced at 6/4 to beat Daniil Medvedev in straight-sets in Wimbledon quarter-finals... with the world No1 at 1/5 to claim a sixth successive win against the Russian star

World No1 Jannik Sinner faces his toughest test to date on his quest to lift the coveted men's singles trophy at Wimbledon on Tuesday.

The Italian has not made easy work of his opponents up until the quarter-final and has been forced into four tie-breaks in those matches.

Three of them, remarkably, came in his victory over compatriot Matteo Berrettini. Nevertheless, Sky Bet have installed the top seed as favourite for his clash against Russian Daniil Medvedev.

Sinner is priced at 1/5 to beat his fellow Grand Slam winner, while a win for the Italian in straight sets on Tuesday afternoon is priced at 6/4.

Meanwhile, Medvedev is 10/3 to win the hotly-anticipated clash.

Sinner and Medvedev have played each other a total of 11 times, with the current record standing at a very competitive 6-5 in the Russian's favour.

Although they may be somewhat familiar with each other's game, this will be the pair's first meeting on grass, having only clashed on hard courts.

And while Sinner may be trailing in the overall record, he has won each of the last five meetings against Medvedev, the last of which came in the semi-final of the Miami Open in March.
