Minnesota Twins star Joe Ryan was chaffing, or at least that's the most plausible excuse for why he was dousing his crotch in powder after celebrating teammate Carlos Correa's home run on Monday night.

Correa hit a slider inside in the zone over the left-field wall at Guaranteed Rate Field to give the Twins the lead in the seventh inning.

As the former Houston Astro made his way back into the dugout he was greeted by all of his teammates including Ryan, who couldn't wait to use his hands for the powder after giving Correa a high-five.

Ryan did not notice the cameras, or did not care as he grabbed the powder from the back of the dugout, widely opened the front of his leggings and sprinkled several shakes of powder down his pants.

Minnesota's commentators did not comment on the incident, as it was captured as the broadcast headed to commercial.

Ryan was a pitcher on Team USA for the 2020 Olympics that won a silver medal. He has spent his entire big-league career within the Twins organization.

He was in Tokyo when he was traded from Tampa Bay to Minnesota as part of the deal that sent Nelson Cruz to the Rays.

The Twins ended up winning the game in extra innings on the road against the league-worst White Sox.

Minnesota currently holds the second American League Wild Card playoff spot, sitting five games behind the Cleveland Guardians for the division lead.

The White Sox are 32 games back of Cleveland with a record of 26-67.

Ryan last pitched on July 6 against the Astros, going five innings and giving up three runs.

The former Ray may still be in recovery mode from that start, needing the dousing of powder any time he can get it.
