West Ham youth star Keira Flannery signs first professional deal as England U19 midfielder pens three-and-a-half year contract before sealing loan move to Reading for the rest of the season
England U19 international Keira Flannery has signed her first professional contract with West Ham while joining Championship side Reading on loan for the rest of the season.
Flannery, who made her debut for the club in September 2022, has put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Hammers.
After agreeing her new terms, the defensive midfielder later joined the Royals on a loan deal before this evening’s transfer deadline.
Flannery, who turned 18 in September, previously spent seven years with Arsenal’s academy but left to join West Ham at the age of 16.

Liverpool identify West Ham chief as potential candidate for sporting director role
West Ham are braced for an approach from Liverpool to poach highly-rated sporting director Tim Steidten after the January transfer window.
The Premier League leaders are in the market for a new sporting director after Jorg Schmadtke announced he will leave the club at the end of the week. The German is one of five high-profile departures at Anfield, including his close ally Jurgen Klopp and three coaches.
Liverpool have already seen former sporting director Michael Edwards reject the chance to return to the club in a new role, after Mike Gordon, president of owners Fenway Sports Group, floated the idea of him occupying a more senior role to oversee the restructure of the club.

Aston Villa agree £15m deal for Boro striker ahead of medical on Wednesday
Aston Villa have agreed a deal worth around £15million with Middlesbrough for forward Morgan Rogers.
There was a breakthrough in talks today after Villa's third offer of £7.5m plus add-ons was rejected on Monday.
Rogers joined Boro from Manchester City for £1.5m and City hold a significant sell-on clause of 25 per cent.

Man United youngster looks set to complete La Liga loan move...
Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri is expecting the all-clear to join Granada on loan today.
As Mail Sport reported, a loan agreement between the clubs was reached on Monday but Pellistri was awaiting the go-ahead from manager Erik ten Hag.
However, the green light has now been awarded and the move appears imminent.
The 22-year-old had wanted the Granada move so that he could link up with coach and fellow Uruguayan Alexander Medina but Ten Hag was keen to ensure he had cover in the shape of young wingers Amad Diallo and Omari Forson.

I think we can expect to see plenty of incomings and outgoings in the Premier League before Thursday's 11pm deadline, with clubs scrambling to get their deals over the line.
Mail Sport's Simon Jones reports that Gio Reyna's loan to Nottingham Forest from Borussia Dortmund and Carlos Alcaraz's loan from Southampton to Juventus are both moving closer
Meanwhile, Lyon have agreed a loan deal with West Ham for Said Benrahma with obligation to buy at £12.5million. Player still to decide.
Blackburn starlet closing in on £22.5m Crystal Palace move
As reported by Mail Sport's Simon Jones, Blackburn Rovers midfielder Adam Wharton will undergo a medical this morning ahead of completing his £22.5million move to Crystal Palace.
The clubs agreed on an £18.5m fee with a further £4m in add ons for the England U20 international on Tuesday morning and the 19-year old has travelled to London to complete proceedings before signing a five and half year deal.
