England fans drenched as Dortmund stadium leaks AGAIN during rainstorm ahead of Three Lions' semi-final clash with the Netherlands

England fans looking for respite from the early evening downpour in Dortmund ahead of the Three Lions' semi-final on Wednesday were unable to find it under the leaking roof of the Westfalenstadion. 

The home of Borussia Dortmund has been beset with issues during inclement weather throughout this summer's tournament, with Turkey versus Georgia the first match affected.

There were concerns the match would be called off due to the amount of rain flooding the pitch - and fans in the stands - but the group stage match went ahead as planned. 

More seriously impacted was Denmark's match against Germany, which saw lightning storms overhead force the players off the pitch after 35 minutes played. 

16 minutes later, players were back out and competing after the storm had passed, but fans in the stands likely stayed drenched for the remainder of the evening.

Fans seemed to enjoy the sudden downpour in Dortmund, with some willingly standing under the waterfall

Mail Sport's Mike Keegan shared a picture of the deluge flowing through the leaking roof at the stadium, likening the hold in the structure to that at Old Trafford. 

Manchester United has be widely pilloried over the past season for its own leaking roof, which minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe grimly described as 'the third-highest waterfall in Britain'. 

Fortunately for Southgate's side, the wet weather has failed to keep England from heading out to the pitch and warming up ahead of facing the Netherlands. 

The head coach has made just one change to the side which faced off with Switzerland during their quarter-final side, with Marc Guehi back in the squad after being suspended for the last tie.

But England were able to head out onto the pitch and begin their warm-ups on Wednesday

The Crystal Palace defender is a like-for-like swap back in for Ezri Konda, while Harry Kane keeps his place as the sharp prong of England's attack despite calls this week for Southgate to leave his captain on the bench. 

The Bayern Munich striker has struggled for form on his adopted home's soil, scoring just twice in England's five matches.
