A top acting coach has been sentenced to six years in prison after being convicted of sexual misconduct with a 13-year-old girl.

Cameron Thor, 56, was found guilty in August last year of sexual misconduct with a minor.

On Wednesday, Thor – who is known for a small role in 1993’s Jurassic Park and has coached numerous Hollywood A-listers - was sentenced to six years in state prison, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The L.A. District Attorney’s Office had originally brought more than a dozen charges against Thor, including kidnapping, robbery and rape, after his arrest in 2014 – but they were dismissed by a judge in a preliminary hearing.

He was ultimately found guilty of one charge, of committing a lewd conduct on a minor, by a jury last year.

Jordyn Ladell, now 20, worked with authorities to have Thor arrested and claims he had raped her in a remote spot in the Santa Monica Mountains in 2009.

Sentencing Thor on Wednesday, Judge Martin Herscovitz said he had ‘groomed’ Ladell and taken advantage of his victim’s vulnerability.

Earlier, she told the court about how Thor’s actions had ruined her life – and how she and her parents had received death threats following his conviction.

Speaking aloud from a long victim impact statement, she said: ‘Cameron raped me and no one could stop him.’

She said she had suffered years of nightmares, bullying and shockingly, revealed that she had been raped on two other occasions since Thor’s assault.

‘Unlike when I was thirteen, I now know how to spot a pedophile,’ she concluded, according to THR.

Ladell’s parents also revealed their devastation.

Her mother Pattie said: ‘[Thor] fooled me into letting my daughter spend time with him.’

‘I stand her a very broken man,’ her father Dean added. ‘I’ll die broken, I don’t think I’ll ever recover from what I personally feel was my responsibility to protect my family.’

Thor’s new lawyer Mark Geragos, who was hired after the defendant fired his trial attorney, insisted that his client is innocent.

He conceded that Thor had smoked marijuana with the girl. ‘But did he rape her? No.’

Thor met Ladell in 2009 when she was 12 and had accompanied her mother to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Agoura Hills.

He reportedly offered to give the young girl free acting lessons at his home as he was aware that her family could not afford his studio’s $240 monthly free.

Although Ladell said she wasn’t interested in acting, his offer to pay for her braces was what sealed the deal, she said.

When she was in eighth grade, she started visiting his home for the classes, where she claims he would touch her inappropriately.

Later in 2009, when she was 13, Thor told Ladell to ask her mother if she could go for a drive to Malibu.

'I just thought he really… liked her,' Patti Ladell recalled in an interview last year. 'And thought she was a great kid and was trying to help her, and that's all I ever thought.'

But instead of driving to Malibu, he took the girl to a remote spot, smoked marijuana with her and sexually assaulted her.

'He got on top of me and was kissing me. And he took that… black and white striped thing that I had on off and was kissing me and leaning over on me and was grabbing me, putting his hands in my shirt. And he undid my pants,' she told THR.

'He told me no one would believe me,' she added. 'That if I told my parents, my mom would start drinking again.'

In court, she testified that Thor grabbed her and kissed her, blowing smoke into her mouth and ordered her to inhale.

She said he ordered her into the backseat of his four-door sedan, kissed her, and began taking off her clothes.

He then touched her breasts and penetrated her with his fingers before placing her hands on his private parts, she added.

Ladell alleges that Thor told her to perform a sex act on him and when she refused, he told her to leave the car.

She claims to have stood naked near a cliff outside of the vehicle for a few moments before Thor let her back in.

Although Ladell said her memory was a bit hazy afterwards, she recalled 'giving him what he wanted' - performing a sex act on him – and later feeling pain between her legs and seeing blood.

Although she believes he had sex with her, in court she would not definitively say it happened because her memory of that portion of the assault was unclear.

During the trial, Thor’s former attorney James Blatt admitted that his client had driven Ladell to a remote spot in the mountains and smoked marijuana with her – but insisted no sexual encounters took place there or elsewhere.

In the months after the assault, Ladell kept it a secret, blaming herself and believing that telling anyone would end her mother’s sobriety and enduring nightmares as a result.

She later told her cousin, who then told Ladell's parents. She eventually opened up to her parents and to her dance teacher; and filed a complaint in 2013.

Ladell then cooperated with the L.A. County Sheriff's Department's Special Victims Unit in two separate sting operations in an attempt to get Thor to confess.

In one recording, captured during a meeting in Starbucks in 2014, the jury heard Thor saying he wanted to have sex with Ladell, then 18, and that he was planning to leave his wife.

Evidence from the stings led to Thor’s arrest and prosecutors filed 14 charges against him. All but one of the charges was dropped during the course of pre-trial motions.

Thor pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.

His acting school, the Carter Thor studio, which he co-founded with wife Alice Carter, boasts Hollywood A-list students such as Cameron Diaz, Madonna and Courteney Cox.
