Horror as woman, 44, drowns in pool at Missouri summer camp for disabled adults

A woman drowned on Sunday in what appears to have been a tragic accident at a Missouri summer camp for adults with developmental disabilities.
Emergency officials were dispatched to Sunnyhill Camp in Dittmer where they found Martha Boland, 44, unresponsive in a pool.
A lifeguard attempted to conduct lifesaving measures but was unable to save Boland, who was pronounced dead at 4:22pm by paramedics.
A representative of the Jefferson County Sherriff's Office told KSDK news that foul play was not suspected.

They further added that it didn't appear like anything criminal took place.
According to Sunnyhill's website, their adult program is geared toward individuals who are 18 and older.
The website states: 'The Adult Program provides a quality week-long themed camping experience to adults with developmental disabilities.'
At the camp, families are able to choose between a counselor-to-camper ratio of one to one or one to five.
The adults are also able to participate in a broad range of camp activities, including water sports.
According to the website, Sunnyhill offers 'a wide variety of water-based activities.'
'Our on-site swimming pool boasts 60,000 gallons of fun.'
At the camp, attendees have the ability to participate in sports like basketball, volleyball, soccer, and archery
At the enormous pool, campers are encouraged to 'cool off and unwind poolside.'
The website also notes that attendees can 'play water basketball' or 'develop their swimming skills.'
Sunnyhill further observes that they installed a 'mammoth waterslide,' which is located next to the swimming pool.
In addition to swimming-related activities, the camp also offers workshops for arts and crafts.
Campers also have the ability to participate in sports like basketball, volleyball, soccer, and archery.

Sunnyhill boasts a 50-foot zipline across which intrepid campers can travel and pass through cedar trees and over a lake.
On the website, Sunnyhill warns that the zipline will surely challenge campers 'of all levels and abilities.'
