A heart-stopping video has captured the moment a heroic New Hampshire teen leaped onto a runaway boat spinning wildly out of control on a popular lake.

Brady Procon, 17, sprung into action when a sailing lesson on Lake Winnipesaukee went dramatically wrong, leaving an instructor overboard and a powerboat spinning in circles.

'I was sitting on the porch and my dad yelled that there was an out-of-control boat in the wake zone,' Procon told WMUR.

The quick-thinking teen and his father, Jeremy, revealed the chain of events that led to his son's daring rescue.

The boat, owned by a local sailing association, was being operated by an instructor who was teaching children how to sail at the time when he reached for a tennis ball used in teaching maneuvers.

But as he leaned to grab it, one of the children's boats capsized, causing the mast to hit the instructor's throttle, which threw him into the water and sent the boat into a spiral.

With children close by, neighbor Justin King swooped in on his jet ski, telling Brady to jump on behind.

After safely guiding the children away from the drifting boat, King and Brady approached the runaway boat.

The gutsy teen then jumped on the out-of-control boat, eventually bringing it to a halt.

'I dove off my jet ski, hopped on his jet ski, and then he maneuvered his jet ski up to the boat so I could jump in it,' Procon told Western Mass News.

'I don't know. I didn't really think, it just came to me,' Procon said.

'I'm a little, I'm realizing what I did, a little bit scared, but it was fun, I'd do it again,' Procon said.

Thankfully there were no injuries.

'They were calling me a hero, and all that, but I wouldn't say I'm a hero, I think anyone would have done that if they had that opportunity to do it.'

Now, Procon is thinking of his next move, planning to enlist in the Navy this fall.

'To be in any military branch you have to have bravery I guess, I wouldn't even count what I did as brave, but some sort of don't think, just do.'
