Rita Ora takes a page out of Zendaya and Margot Robbie's style playbook stepping out in fashions inspired by her latest role

  • Outfits rich with characters or movie references is a powerful sartorial choice that many Hollywood actresses are embracing

Celebrities pull out all the sartorial stops when promoting their movies but it takes a true artiste to pay homage to the character they played onscreen in real life.

Perhaps one of the most memorable examples of red carpet cosplay was Margot Robbie channeling Barbie in sweet bubblegum pink looks throughout the award-winning film's entire press tour.

And now, it's Rita Ora's turn.

The British pop star has been galivanting all over New York City - from the Gansevoort Meatpacking hotel to the Empire State Building - donning all red ensembles inspired by her role as the Queen of Hearts in the Disney+ film 'Descendants: Rise Of The Red.'

The 33-year-old did not reserve the bold color for just her television appearances.

She was seen bowling at the Gansevoort's cocktail lounge, Dimes, in a red button down shirt and matching leather skirt.

She was also spotted enjoying the hotel's new private membership club Seven24 Collective in an all red look.

Rita stayed in the Poliform Penthouse, the crown jewel of accommodations at the hotel.

The 1,700 sq. ft. duplex plays gallery with works from renowned artists Frank Stella, Adi Oren, Daniel Mazzone and Mick Rock decorating the walls.

Sitting in front of one of the room's many paintings, she was photographed wearing a red dress topped by a voluminous floral jacket with her perfect pins on display.

In the last 72 hours Rita has promoted the film in at least 8 show stopping scarlet looks - proving to be a very smart marking technique.
