Many fans called the talking doll a 'terror' and 'horror icon.'
Some scary movie enthusiasts said the film wasn't too 'scary', but was 'fun,' 'entertaining' and 'good.'
Other fans said 'it kept them on their toes,' before adding it was a 'must see.'
One fan said: 'This movie was so cool! I have been waiting forever to see it, and it was great. M3GAN was hilarious and scary at the same time. The doll was creepy but so sarcastic and had great graphics. I am so glad that I went to see it.'
Yet, others, noted that they wished the film was 'rated R.'
Despite the horror, M3GAN producers recently said they think the film's PG-13 rating is justified.

Despite the horror, M3GAN producers recently said they think the film's PG-13 rating is justified
James Wan and Jason Blum defended the MPAA's decision during an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
'Some of the scariest movies of all time are PG-13, so I don't put too much stock in the bellyaching,' Jason said. 'Go see the movie, and then tell me about it.'
The Grudge, The Ring, Insidious, Drag Me to Hell and a number of other terrifying films have been slapped with PG-13 ratings in recent years.
James Wan added, 'Listen, I've done PG-13 films and I've done R-rated films. So I think it's about whatever is most suitable for the film, and even though M3GAN is a scary movie, teenagers will really dig this. They'll really like it, and I think it will speak to them in a big way.'
'Yes, that's right,' Jason added. 'We wanted teenagers to be able to see the movie, ultimately.'
