The ongoing evaluations of the Directorate of Internal Oversight include the following:

  • Commissioner for Human Rights
    The Commissioner for Human Rights is an independent institution with a wide mandate and a mission to promote awareness of and respect for human rights in the member states. The evaluation aims to assess to what extent the work of the Commissioner has contributed to encouraging changes in member states and achieving tangible improvements in relation to awareness of and respect for human rights.

     
  • Education for Democracy
    The sub-programme contributes to key strategic priority 12 of the Strategic Framework of the Council of Europe on education for democracy. The evaluation will assess to what extent the work under the sub-programme contributed to increasing the capacities of policy makers and other education actors to prepare students and learners for life as active citizens in democratic societies.

     
  • Change management 
    Continued structural and administrative reform remains a priority for the Organisation with a view to further improving its working methods, efficiency and effectiveness. The evaluation will focus on the process of change management in the overall reform process using the elements of the administrative reform as relevant examples. It aims to provide relevant analysis and guidance on appropriate change management models, approaches, methods, tools and good practices for the next phases of the ongoing reforms.
