Following last week's debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, calls are growing for the 81-year-old Biden to drop out of the race and clear the way for a younger successor to take his place as the Democratic nominee for president.

At the same time, many on the political left, including some of the party's most influential voices, are urging Democrats to stick with Biden as his expected rematch with Trump is now just four months away.
