The solo production is an epic and hilarious “what if?” battle of parenthood vs. career. Bartelse is in the doctor's office, her period is late, and she awaits her test results. Riddled with indecision and anxiety, she explores the 21st century conundrum of many careerists: what would it mean to become a first-time mom on the verge of forty?” Written and performed by Bartelse, All KIDding Aside is a comically honest exploration into the fears and hesitations of a 30-something woman wanting to hit the snooze button on her biological clock.
