Why this petition matters

Started by Victoria English

Please help our family save this historic 1928 home built by William Pratt, the chemist who helped invent Jello, and previously owned by the president of Tupperware. Since 2008 we have been working to protect and restore this house to its former splendor. We've exhausted every option to save our home and are being forced to sell off a portion of the property. By doing so we'll be able to keep our home and preserve the surrounding lakefront. Only the front portion along the highway is going to be converted into residential housing. If we can't get this approved by the Town of Oakland, this historic home and all its surrounding land will be leveled and the entire property will be developed; and our family will be forced out of our home. Time is of the essence as a meeting is taking place in which another party is pushing for its destruction. We're trying everything we can to save our home, please support us by signing and sharing. Thank you so much to everyone that helps.

Please sign our petition for the Town of Oakland to approve the land change use and zoning on the Highway 50 portion of the property.
