EVENT DETAILS
Interactive Surgical Pathology Cases Webinar is a live 60-minute session offering CME. Just as in residency, you and a group of your peers will consult with one another on unknown case slides or digital images to come to an accurate diagnosis. Each webinar includes at least four cases, with an opportunity for real-time interaction and live Q&A with the presenters. Anwar Raza, MD, FCAP, and Daniel Reiter, MD, FCAP, will lead this session, which will focus on breast pathology cases.
Through this webinar, you will:
• Participate in real-time diagnosis consultation and receive real-world feedback
• Keep up-to-date across disciplines and learn about current standards for tools, techniques, and diagnostic criteria
• Address current terminology and classification, appropriate reporting protocols, and challenges to resolve differential diagnoses

EVENT DETAILS
The Multidisciplinary Breast Pathology (MBP) workshop trains pathologists to maximize their contributions to the care team for breast cancer patients. The faculty include experts in breast pathology, oncology, surgery, and radiology, providing participants with an entire clinical picture of multidisciplinary care. Participants complete six online courses, then join faculty and other attendees for a three half-day live virtual workshop to optimize their approach in the precision patient care team— earning a total of 22.5 CME.
MBP is for pathologists with intermediate or higher skill level in breast pathology. After completing the series, qualified program participants should be able to:
• Understand the implications of findings from the major breast imaging modalities, and correlate these findings with clinical and histologic information, in order to provide appropriate recommendations for patient management and additional diagnostic steps when needed.
• Explain and implement best practices in breast pathology: specimen handling, assay
criteria and selection, process management, and remediation of test performance
issues in support of optimum patient care.
• Evaluate and interpret breast predictive factors test results following the ASCO-CAP
guidelines for cases representing all levels of complexity, integrating the test results
with clinical and morphologic findings.
• Explain breast cancer treatment options and their associated toxicities, cost
implications, and efficacy as indicated by test results.
• Explain the goals of breast surgery and describe the different types of surgery.
Stay up to date with the latest diagnostic learning and optimize your role in the precision patient care team.

The Job Prep Bootcamp is a fast-paced interactive review of pathology cases spanning multiple subspecialties. Over two consecutive weekends, you’ll dive into bread-and-butter cases as well as important rare entities that are not to be missed.
Throughout this CAP member-exclusive program, participants can join panel discussions with trusted leaders in their specialties on professional development topics like being a first-time medical director, managing your finances, or mastering billing and coding. The faculty for the Job Prep Bootcamp is made up of board-certified Fellows of the College of American Pathologists.
Our virtual sessions, interactive panels, and bonus on-demand courses let you learn and strengthen your skills from the comfort of home—while our downloadable sign-out templates, sample checklists, and other materials prepare you to succeed.

CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION
Continuing in the tradition of pediatric pathology conferences since 1970, the 2025 lecture-based course, is designed for general and pediatric pathologists but will also be of interest to pediatric surgeons and pediatricians who would like to advance their knowledge in various pediatric neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases This will be a hybrid meeting, both in-person and Zoom options. Handouts and PowerPoint presentations, including case discussions, will be posted on The University of Chicago website. In advance, each in-person participant will receive a microscopic slide set of 25 cases with clinical histories. Zoom participants will receive a link to virtual slides. The cases will be discussed in detail during the conference. In addition, an academic poster session consisting of current topics in pediatric pathology will be presented. Abstracts can be submitted by any participant to Aliya N. Husain, MD at the University of Chicago aliya.husain@uchospitals.edu.
CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES

• Plan a diagnostic approach to the examination of neoplastic and non-neoplastic childhood diseases;
• Apply molecular genetics to the study of neoplastic and non-neoplastic pediatric diseases;
• Recognize the gross and histologic appearance of various neoplastic and non-neoplastic diseases of major organ systems including the central nervous system, hematopoietic system, soft tissue, bone, digestive tract, liver, lung, transplant, placenta/perinatal;
• Identify the appropriate use of ancillary techniques such as IHC Stains, Electron Microscopy, and Molecular Tests in the diagnosis of non-neoplastic and pediatric diseases;
