Collision didn’t have its worst ever ratings opposite Money in the Bank

AEW’s Saturday show did worse against WWE Royal Rumble earlier this year. It had its second-worst ever ratings & viewership on July 6.

The numbers are in for the July 6 episode of AEW Collision on TNT. It aired at the same time that WWE’s Money in the Bank premium live event was streaming live on Peacock, and took the expected hit as a result.

According to Wrestlenomics, Collision had 306,000 viewers and did a .08 rating among 18-49 year olds. Those are both down for the previous week. There’s also lower than any other episode in the show’s history, save one — the January 27 edition that went up against Royal Rumble. Money in the Bank was in London last year, so this is the first time AEW’s ran television directly opposite that particular WWE PLE.

Improved numbers will be expected this week, even for a pre-taped show (Collision is filming in Calgary this Wednesday after Dynamite ends). We’ll see how much they improve. Until then, here’s a look at the viewership and demo rating for the last year’s worth of Collision:

* Aired on a Friday
