  1. An unintended consequence worth considering: ‘222’ mandates that before a student can be put on an at-home suspension, a meeting with parents present must take place at school. Parents know this. And so, parents do not reply to requests for a meeting.

While a meeting to develop strategies with parents make sense, it’s created a situation where students that need to be suspended, cannot be.

This is well known among MA public school teachers.
