Masterchef’s Callum Hann and Khanh Ong’s Pop-Up Dinners at Crown Melbourne
Former Masterchef Australia contestants are taking up residency at Crown Melbourne for three weeks each. The four-chef series at Evergreen, the former Dinner by Heston space, started with Kishwar Chowdhury, who ended her dinner series on Sunday June 2.
From Thursday June 6 to Sunday June 23, Adelaide chef and Sprout Cooking School founder Callum Hann will prepare a four-course sharing menu that includes kingfish crudo, slow-roasted lamb shoulder and Smoky Bay oysters for $150 per person. There’s also a kid’s menu available for $75 per person.
Then, from Thursday June 27 to Sunday July 14, Khanh Ong of The George on Collins will prepare a menu that nods to his Vietnamese background.
A fourth Masterchef alum is yet to be announced but will take up residency in July after Ong’s stint.
