Good night

Thanks for joining us everyone. We’ll have more comprehensive Wimbledon coverage throughout the rest of the week, including the latest on Alex De Minaur’s first quarter-final at the All England club.

Analysis: Aussie up to sixth in live rankings

Marc McGowan in London: A largely impressive performance from Alex de Minaur, who moves into his maiden Wimbledon quarter-final after having to fight hard at the finish to see off Frenchman Arthur Fils. He wasn’t perfect and wobbled with the finish line in sight for a second-straight match, but this is the continuation of an outstanding season for Demon. He moves to No.6 in the live rankings and now awaits either Novak Djokovic or Holger Rune in what will be the biggest match of his life.

The winning point and his reaction

Alex de Minaur gingerly walked up and shook his opponent’s hand at the net.

VICTORY! De Minaur does it

This match had a bit of everything … but do check out match point.

De Minaur has pulled off a stunning volley to claim the match, but has pulled up gingerly.

The Australian is victorious, but he’s not moving well. De Minaur has injured something - maybe aggravated a muscle. On the TV broadcast, there’s chatter about his ankle however.

In the post-match on-court interview, de Minaur is asked about his condition and his reaction after the final point. “I’ll be alright,” de Minaur said. “I’ll find a way [to be fit for the quarter-final].”

Break! de Minaur can’t serve it out

Just like that, Fils makes it 3-5 with a timely break. There couldn’t be more twists, could there?

It’s close now for de Minaur

He’s within sight, serving for the set and the match at 5-2, fourth set.

Despite those hiccups in the previous set, this is shaping as an important and eye-catching victory for the Australian, propelling him into the final eight at Wimbledon for the first time.

Double break! The Aussie pounces

Fils has come hard at him but de Minaur, ultimately, could keep him at bay.

This break of serve is met with applause from his partner Katie Boulter in the stands.

4-1 in the fourth set

3-1 to de Minaur, fourth set

He doesn’t look rattled. A quarter-final spot remains within sight.
