We'll Take One of Everything at Yowie, Philly's Coolest Boutique

I can’t really claim that any store is the best. That’s an impossible and irresponsible distinction. But I can confidently claim that a store is the most joyous, and that store would be Philadelphia’s Yowie, my favorite shop for housewares, kitchen goods, zines, and trinkets that I don’t necessarily require but absolutely need.

Shannon Maldonado’s Queen Village shop is small but bursting with color and attitude. Every time I walk in, I’m amazed at the amount of exhilarating, playful energy she fits into the miniscule quarters. From ombre water glasses to Maldonado’s in-house line of pillows, my apartment is filled with things I’ve bought at Yowie. But my opinions are amateur, so I figured I’d ask the professional what her favorite pieces in the shop are. Here’s what Maldonado had to say.
