OverviewBeer Mile World Classic

Welcome to the 10th annual Beer Mile World Classic! After the resounding success of the 2023 event, we are thrilled to bring the excitement to Windsor, Ontario, Canada, the hometown of Corey Bellemore, the reigning world record holder in the beer mile.

Subscribe to our email list to keep up with announcements as we get closer to the event. Registration is now open! Sign up before we sell out. We are planning a banger of an event, including:

  • Elite Competition: Witness athletes from over 13 countries compete for individual and team world titles. Expect thrilling races and potential world record-breaking performances. If you want to be part of the elite heats, send your proposal race video to worlds@beermile.com
  • Community Beer Mile Heats: Embrace the spirit of camaraderie and competition in our open entry heats. Individuals can try a beer mile for themselves with non-alcoholic beers. (Due to Canadian liquor licensing regulations and insurance stipulations, these sections are Non Alcolohlic).
  • VIP Experience: Elevate your Beer Mile World Classic experience with our exclusive VIP package, sponsored by Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery. Indulge in premium amenities, including access to a private lounge right alongside the chug zone, complimentary refreshments, special merchandise and a "Meet and Greet" with the elites!
  • Beer mile world records going down and athletes from 13+ countries competing for individual/team world titles in the elite competition
  • Sponsorship Opportunities: We are actively seeking sponsors to partner with us in making this event a success. Showcase your brand to a diverse audience of spectators, athletes, and media representatives. Contact us to discuss sponsorship packages tailored to your goals. Please reach out to info@beermilebellemore.com
  • Cold Canadian Beer: Savour the taste of Canada with Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery as the official beer provider of the event. Immerse yourself in the rich flavors of locally crafted brews, ensuring a true Canadian experience
  • Compliance with Canadian Regulations: As we navigate the regulatory landscape of liquor licensing and laws in Canada, rest assured that we prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants. We are committed to upholding responsible drinking practices and compliance with local regulations.
  • Exciting Activities: More action aside from the Beer Mile will be included within the event (ex. costume contest, lawn games, samples from our sponsors, a 50/50 raffle, etc.). Stay tuned for more!
  • A kickass party you won't want to miss

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find the answer you’re looking for? Reach out to our email and we'll be in touch.

How do I qualify for the beer mile world championship?

The proof is in the pudding. Take a video of yourself completing a fast beer and share it with us via email. The top 5 beer milers from each country will be able to compete in the championship race.

If I don't qualify for the championship race, can I still participate?

Yes! We will have open beer mile heats on July 1 at the World Classic in the afternoon leading up to the championship races. Your registration for the open race also allows you to stick around to spectate the celebrity and championship races later in the evening.

What beer can I drink for the open beer mile race?

Your beer is included in your entry fee! NOTE: You are not permitted to bring your own beer for the open beer mile race.

If I am coming to the World Classic just to spectate, do I need to register?

Yes, spectators must have purchased a ticket in order to get into the event. Capacity is limited, so get your tickets before they sell out!

What all can I expect at the event itself?

You can expect draft beer from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery, food, music, and the fastest beer milers you have ever witnessed!

What can I bring into the event?

No outside food or alcohol will be allowed in, but you can bring in other fluids (e.g. water, Pedialyte, etc.) to stay hydrated. Bags will be checked upon arrival.

I heard this bad boy is being live streamed, is that accurate?

It sure is. We have hired a professional production team to get this race in front of millions of eyeballs. So if you are racing: Smile — you're on camera! The races will be streamed on the Beer Mile Media YouTube channel.

Can I help out and volunteer?

Yes please! Volunteers get free entry into the event, along with free merch, beer, and food. Select the volunteer option in the menu, fill out your information, and we will be in touch!

I'm a media person and would like to cover the event.

Calling all journalists, photographers, videographers, TikTokers, you name it. Hit us up at worlds@beermile.com and we can provide you a media credential.

I see some donation options. Tell me more.

Well aren't you quite philanthropic. It may be a shocker, but the beer mile isn't a well funded sport (yet). Beer milers pay to travel from around the world to this event in hopes of earning prize money and glory for their efforts. The Athlete Prize Fund goes straight toward increasing the prize pot for the championship race to ensure the athletes earn enough to cover their trip.

Where is the beer mile world championship held each year?

The Beer Mile World Classic moves to a new location each year to spread beer mile love throughout the world. It has taken place in San Francisco, London (twice), Vancouver, Berlin, Manchester, Leuven, Chicago, and now Ontario!

Where can I find past results and race videos?

Past results are housed on beermile.com, the official beer mile resource. Here are the results and race videos for the past couple of World Classics:

2023 World Classic in Chicago — Results and Videos

2022 World Classic in Leuven — Results and Videos

2021 World Classic in Manchester — Results and Videos

How can I follow the action leading into the race?

You can subscribe to the Beer Mile Podcast on Spotify or Apple to hear from athletes leading into the race and stay up-to-date on the event.

You can also subscribe to the Beer Mile Media YouTube channel for videos leading into the event with tips on how to train.
